One-to-One Therapies
Body-based recovery, adapted to one person at a time.
Trauma-informed yoga is yoga adapted with a clear understanding of how trauma affects the body and nervous system. Rather than a standard studio class, it is guided by a specialist trained to prioritise safety, choice, and gentle pacing. At Holina Executive, it is delivered privately, one-to-one, alongside structured breathwork that supports the same nervous-system recovery.

Trauma-informed yoga is a considered adaptation of yoga that accounts for the way trauma is held in the body, not only the mind. Postures become invitations rather than instructions, and nothing is pushed. Our sessions may be led by Michelle Rochwerger, a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and trauma-informed teacher trained in the Viniyoga tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar.
Breathwork refers to structured breathing practices used to influence how the nervous system responds to stress. At Holina Executive, breathwork may be guided by Magdalena Gawrys, a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator and yoga teacher who supports residents in releasing stored stress and emotion.
Most yoga and breathwork is taught in groups, where pacing and intensity are set for the room rather than the person. Here, every session is private, shaped around the person in front of us — their history, their body, and the goals of their wider clinical programme.
A session begins calmly, with time to settle. Movement, breath, and rest are woven together at a pace you set, and you are free to pause, adapt, or stop at any point. Sessions are held privately, integrated with the rest of your programme rather than treated as an add-on.
Do I need previous yoga experience?
No. These sessions are designed for the individual, whatever their familiarity with yoga or breathwork.
Will I have to talk about my trauma during a session?
No. This is body-based work, and it does not require you to recount or discuss your history.
Holina Executive occupies a private estate in Cyprus, welcoming no more than twelve people at any time. Yoga and breathwork are practised in calm, private settings across the grounds.
If trauma-informed yoga and breathwork feel relevant to your recovery, we invite you to enquire in confidence.
