Private Addiction & Trauma Recovery on the Cyprus Coast
Trauma is the mind and body’s lasting response to an event, or series of events, that overwhelmed a person’s capacity to cope. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a specific, diagnosable condition that can develop in its wake. At Holina Executive, both are treated privately and one to one — never in a group — within a discreet coastal estate that receives no more than twelve clients at a time.

Trauma is a broad response to distressing experience. It can follow a single event or accumulate over years, and it shapes how a person feels, thinks, sleeps, and relates to others long after the event itself has passed. PTSD is narrower and clinical — a diagnosable condition marked by recognisable patterns, such as intrusive memories, avoidance, heightened reactivity, and disruptions to mood and thinking, that persist and interfere with daily life. Not everyone who experiences trauma develops PTSD.
It is well established in clinical practice that unresolved trauma often drives compulsive behaviour — alcohol, substances, work, or overwork become ways to quiet a nervous system that has never fully settled. Treating the behaviour alone tends to leave the cause untouched, which is why our programme looks beneath the presenting problem.
Trauma care at Holina Executive is delivered one to one, never in a group, and shaped around the individual rather than a fixed curriculum. Clinical oversight is provided by Dr. Natalie Lindemann, Holina Global’s Clinical Director, who holds a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology and ensures care across the network remains trauma-informed and evidence-based.
Trauma is not held in memory alone. It lives in the body — in tension, breath, sleep, and a nervous system braced against threats that have long since passed. At Holina Executive, psychological work is complemented by body-based approaches from practitioners such as Allon Chaimovitz, Michelle Rochwerger and Magdalena Gawrys. Is trauma treatment at Holina Executive ever delivered in a group?
No. All clinical work is one to one. With no more than twelve clients on the estate at any time, care is private throughout.
Do I need a PTSD diagnosis to come to Holina Executive?
No. Many people who come to us carry the effects of trauma without a formal PTSD diagnosis. A diagnosis is never a condition of care.
Holina Executive occupies a private estate on the Cyprus coast, chosen for its seclusion and calm. Distance from everyday pressures is part of how the nervous system begins to settle.
If you are considering trauma or PTSD treatment for yourself or someone close to you, we invite a confidential, unhurried conversation.
